Tahoe Boat Inspections Move to Roadside Stations Wednesday May 25th
South Lake Tahoe, CA – Inspections for Lake Tahoe boaters will take place at roadside inspection stations only as of Wednesday, May 25. Off-highway inspection stations will be staffed by Tahoe Resource Conservation District inspectors from 8am to 8pm for the 2011 boating season and are convenient to highways entering the Lake Tahoe Basin. Truckee Watercraft Inspection Program Prepares for another Successful Boating Season
Truckee, CA – The Tahoe Resource Conservation District (Tahoe RCD) will once again manage the Truckee Area Watercraft Inspection Program for 2011. Entering its second season, Truckee area inspections and boater education on aquatic invasive species (AIS) will take place at Donner Lake and Boca, Prosser, and Stampede reservoirs from April 30 through September 30. Moving Tahoe Boat Inspections to Roadside Stations Adds Efficiency, Convenience for Boaters

Public Invited to Learn About Efforts to Prevent and Control Aquatic Invasive Species in Lake Tahoe
South Lake Tahoe, CA – The Lake Tahoe Aquatic Invasive Species Coordination Committee will host a public forum on April 5th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the US Forest Service Building located at 35 College Drive in South Lake Tahoe, CA. Brief presentations will focus on aquatic invasive species (AIS) prevention and control projects in the Lake Tahoe Basin, including the Tahoe Watercraft Inspection Program, invasive aquatic plant and Asian clam control efforts, and non-native fish removal. Watercraft Inspection Program Continues to Ward Off Invasive Mussels
South Lake Tahoe, CA, December 14, 2010 – Watercraft inspection data and scientific reports continue to indicate that Lake Tahoe’s waters remain clear of invasive Quagga and Zebra mussels, which are considered major threats to Lake Tahoe and surrounding waterbodies. Lake Tahoe, CA/NV – A boater who refused a mandatory invasive species decontamination earlier this summer faces a $5,000 penalty for evading watercraft inspectors in order to launch illegally into Lake Tahoe.
